Evaluating ABA Providers: |
Recommended Readings, Websites, etc: |
|
We understand that finding an ABA provider for your child may be overwhelming. As more and more providers become available it is important that families are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to objectively evaluate ABA programs and providers. On our ABA & Autism page we discussed what current research supports as “best practice”. These qualities were compiled from a variety of resources to also include our own clinical experience. Here you will find a Checklist designed to assist parents in asking various important questions when interviewing ABA providers so that the providers can be objectively evaluated and compared. |
The Recommended Resources handout includes a list of a variety of resources that we thought may be useful to families that are just starting to familiarize themselves with the ABA field. The list includes suggested websites, books, and peer reviewed research articles. The list is in no way comprehensive and was intended to provide families only with a sampling of information across common topics of interest in the field. We hope that you find the handout useful as you start to navigate your way through the sea of information available on ABA and its application to young children on the autism spectrum. Download |
